Introducing Dr Jane Shelton

Dr Jane Shelton is Managing Director of Marshall Place Associates, Melbourne's independent think tank, and Chief Executive Officer (honorary) for 'Life. Be in it.' International - Australia's lifestyle social marketing communications non-government organisation that conducts community recreation programs in all states and develops community based initiatives for the long-term unemployed.
Dr Craig Emerson, Minister for Small Businsss, has recently launched Jane's first book - No Workplace Like Home- Wilkinson Publishing at Readings Bookstore in St Kilda.

Jane applies strategic thinking to develop strategic directions for
corporations and environmental organisations in Australia and throughout the
Asia Pacific Region applying practical business experience and change
management strategies to enable small and medium enterprises (SME's) and
community organisations to apply futures and foresight techniques to achieve
sustainable prosperity.

Dr Shelton, 37, completed her professional Doctorate in Business
Administration at the Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship (AGSE)
at Swinburne University of Technology in branding and change management
after a Master of Arts in Public Policy at Melbourne University and a
Bachelor of Business in banking and finance at Monash University. Jane's
current areas of business research include home based business and people
working from home as a major focus for economic and lifestyles development.

Jane has a strategy advisory role for corporations developing strategic
plans and future directions and is a Graduate Member of the Australian
Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and is a member of the Australian
Institute of Management and the World Futures Society. As a member of
Carroll Partners International, Jane has been involved in the conduct of the
Pacific Rim Forums in Bali, Bangkok, Beijing, Shanghai and worked with the
Asia Pacific Management & Development Resource Network on communty projects
in Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam .

Jane lives in Ripponlea and is married to Matthew, a Pricing Analyst, is a
taekwondo blackbelt and has recently released her book called "No Workplace
